Nick was approached in late 2016 by new People & Culture Director Ian Jackson to support Curtin University with helping them think through and implement significant organisational change. The engagement focussed on three elements, designing a Talent Strategy, defining the People & Culture Enabling Plan (business plan) and to support and facilitate a new organisational design.

Over a period of three months in early 2017, Nick led the People & Culture leadership team through a series of steps to help understand and evolve their function and also more broadly the University. By conducting interviews, workshops and consultations, Nick developed an understanding of issues within the University and created a People & Culture Development Strategy to help key stakeholders visualise the pathway forward. Nick also developed detailed organisation design options, a strategic transformation framework and a strategic change plan to ensure Curtin University could execute the project well.
